  • Denuncia (encaminha pra reports@stop-sextortion.ch / antiphishing.ch).

So schützt du dich

Fake sextortion emails

Mass emails arrive claiming the sender filmed you through your webcam while you were on a porn site, and demand a bitcoin payment. It's a bluff: there is no video and no hack. Switzerland runs a dedicated national website just for this, stop-sextortion.ch, and NCSC/BACS traced the variant carrying your address back to a specific data leak, confirming it's a bluff.

How the scam works

  1. You get an email claiming your device and webcam were hacked.
  2. To seem credible, the email may carry your name, phone number or home address (from a data leak, not a real hack).
  3. They threaten to send an intimate video to all your contacts.
  4. They demand a few thousand francs in bitcoin within a short deadline.
  5. There is no video and no hack - it's sent in bulk, hoping a few pay out of fear.

Warning signs

  • A ransom demand in bitcoin over supposed webcam footage.
  • Personal data (address/phone) used to scare you - from data leaks, not a real hack.
  • A short, high-pressure deadline.
  • No real proof/video is ever shown.

  • Report it (forward it to reports@stop-sextortion.ch / antiphishing.ch).
